At United Docks, we recognize that environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles are not only key to sustainable business practices, but also vital to the long-term success of our company. By prioritizing ESG, we are taking an active role in mitigating environmental risks and reducing our carbon footprint.

We believe that businesses have a responsibility to contribute positively to the environment, and by investing in renewable energy, waste reduction, and eco-friendly technologies, we can help shape a greener future while simultaneously improving operational efficiency. In this objective we are reaching nearly 500 tonnes of CO_2e annually.

At United Docks, we are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and diverse workplace that encourages collaboration and innovation. We also support community development initiatives that promote education, health, and social welfare, ensuring that our growth benefits those around us

Ecological Transportation

Park and Ride initiative reduces CO₂ emissions by at least 300 tons annually and promotes sustainable commuting. A 10 km daily commute by public transport generates approximately 1,267 grams of CO₂, compared to 2,240 grams by car. Located just 5 minutes from metro and bus stations, the system helps decrease reliance on private vehicles and eases road congestion.

Adopting EV Charging

Gasoline vehicles emit approximately 563 grams of CO₂ per kilometre, while fully battery-electric vehicles produce about 302 grams per kilometre. To support our commitment to reducing carbon emissions and advancing sustainable transportation, United Docks has installed several electric vehicle (EV) charging stations on the premises. These new charging stations are strategically positioned to encourage our tenants to transition to electric vehicles

United Docks Ltd was incorporated on the 1st October 1991, taking over all the assets of the Societe United Docks. United Docks Ltd has since been listed on the official market of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius.
